MetaMorph Research
-
The MetaMorph Research Institute was founded in 2008 by Jecel Mattos de Assumpção Jr and Merik Voswinkel to continue their lifelong research program
into Computer Science and other areas. The founders independently started their research in 1981 when they both read the first publication on SmallTalk in
Byte magazine on the work of PARC, the Paulo Alto Research Center where Alan Kay's research group
was responsible for the developmennt of the modern personal computer, graphical user interface (GUI), object-oriented programming with others developing laser printing, Ethernet and much more.
The MetaMorph research papers "Adaptive Compilation for Reconfigurable Computers" and "Adapting processor grain via reconfiguration" describe the many-core SiliconSqueak microprocessor and Adaptive Multi Level Tracing Compiler technologies that form the basis of all Morphle hardware and software developments. Juan Vuletich soon joined the research institute, his notable research "Prefiltering Antialiasing for General Vector Graphics". Other publications by Juan, Jecel and Merik on computing will be listed here in the coming weeks.
Morphle team
- Jecel Mattos de Assumpção Jr (Phd, MS) designs the children's computer based on his SiliconSqueak reconfigurable hardware micropocessor FPGA and ASIC family including the the 5000-200.000 many-core Wafer Scale Integration, Adaptive and MultiLevel Tracing Smalltalk Compiler. Jecel is the resident Self and SmallTalk guru with great stories and facts from 70 years of computer history.
- Merik Voswinkel designed the Morphle openflow modular 4 to 128 port 1/10/40/100/400 Gbps switches and worlds only truly secure routers, protecting against privacy and anonymity surveilance and offering peer to peer home cloud hosting and storage, the basis for the Neigbornet/FiberHood/Buurtnet mesh fiber to home and farm 8-80 Gbps network with 1100 km terabit backbone on three continents, builds the Morphle scalable supercomputers, the 5000-200.000 many-core Wafer Scale Integration and scalable ramcloud Squeak webapp hosting system (datacenter in a cubic meter), the Morphy pad and phone, the Datacontainer and green datacenter. He designed our first Transputer supercomputer hardware in 1985. Merik founded the first internet provider Knoware in the Netherlands in 1991. He built the first Macintosh 1 Mbyte bootable ramdisk, The first european Newton email software in 1993. An autodidact, he studies computer science and complexity in systems, paleontology, evolutionary biology, earth system science, astronomy, psychology, anthropology and is an amateur physicist and exobiologist. He is a professional macro photographer of flowers and insects who traveled around Europe's wild nature reserves with his father Aart Voswinkel who made one of the first photographical flora's the Flora of Europe, one of the first websites in the world that is still online.
- Juan Vuletich (MS) is our graphics, image processing and signal processing guru, working on the first Argentinean CubeSat launch, see the tracking page, wrote the best SVG renderer on the planet and woks on Morphic 3 and Cuis.
- Eric Wamsley manages our enterprise sales and dealers, builds our supercomputers, datacenters and cloudcomputing servers, our resident scaling expert.
- Philip Glover is investigating applications for SiliconSqueak in data acquisition and organization for utilization in automated process control. He is also working toward the development of fiber meshnets for P2P networking in the 21st century.
- Gerith Dubel handles Morphle's product sales, support and mesh 8 Gigabit fiber to the home and farm community owned co-operative projects.
- David Dubel assembles your custom 10G 30 core Xeon BGP edge routers, Mac Pro clones and makes Morphle's websites, programs seaside web apps and does most of the artwork.
- Donna Schrokosch researched and built the History project wiki and hosts Fiberhood Los Angelesc.
- Germán Arduino is working on the Morphle Openflow and Click element editor to design, view, animate and control your Software Defined Network (SDN) and Named Data Network (NDN) through the Floodlight and other SDN openflow controllers. He is available to develop your Smalltalk software as well. See Password Pro as an example of his programming skill
- Igor van Oostveen designed our logo and invested in our webservers. One of the best interaction and webdesigners in Europe. .
- Lawson English is our Second Life expert, sales support, makes our youtube Squeak programming tutorials and build parts of our websites code.
- Maurice van Peursem (MS) designed our first Transputer supercomputer hardware in 1985. He maintained the servers and built admin software at our first internet provider Knoware in the Netherlands. He was the first seed investor in Morphle.
- Yvette Dubel is Morphle's creative art director. She works to integrate Morphle's CSR initiatives and branding strategy to deliver meaningful marketing solutions.
- Sigrid de Jong will do our Morphy children's computer cartoons and illustrations and studies to become a dentist.
- Ronald Wopereis is our resident expert at attention and one of the most well connected people on the planet.
- Matthew Fulmer was involved with 'Clean TeaTime' and now codes on 3D Cobalt and iPad/iPhone multitouch Etoys and Scratch.
Former team members:
- Benjamin Cooper built the Timeline fuzzy database, Multi Value microprocessor, the Security system, the Solar Turbine, the Modified Traveling Wave Nuclear Reactor, the Hydroponics system and he teaches the workshops to homeschoolers at the Hawthorne centre.
